ATLANTA — TireHub L.L.C., the national tire distributor co-founded in 2018 by Bridgestone Americas Inc. and Goodyear, has relocated two distribution centers in Texas, in Houston and Arlington.
The Houston center relocated to a larger facility in order to serve more customers with a greater inventory, the company said. In the Dallas market, the Dallas, Texas, location moved to a facility in Arlington to expand service to nearby customers in Fort Worth.
TireHub did not disclose details about the facilities' size or warehousing capacity.
"We are navigating unprecedented times due to the current pandemic, and our customers need us more than ever. Establishing a greater presence in Houston and Arlington is another way we can support customers throughout Texas," Sylvia Wilks, vice president, operations, said.
"Our hearts and minds are with the essential workers and all who need to reach their destinations safely to help serve their communities. So, with that in mind, we remain focused on meeting the needs of our customers wherever and however we can."
TireHub launched in July 2018 and operates 71 logistics centers in the U.S., offering full passenger and light truck tire product lines from the Goodyear and Bridgestone portfolios, including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Firestone, Fuzion, Kelly and LeMans brands, in addition to Toyo, as well as Goodyear and Kelly commercial tires.
Last year TireHub expanded its footprint with new centers in Fort Myers, Fla.; Columbia, S.C.; Lakeville, Minn.; and Suffolk, Va.
In 2019, TireHub also relocated four TLCs in established markets, including Austin, Texas; Knoxville, Tenn.; Mobile, Ala.; and Las Vegas.
