DUNWOODY, Ga. — TireHub L.L.C., the national tire distribution joint venture of Goodyear and Bridgestone Americas Inc., is planning to open its first regional distribution center later this year to complement the 80 distribution centers in operation.
The firm, founded five years ago, added or relocated 12 TireHub Logistics Centers in the last 18 months, bringing the total network to 80 distribution centers.
The Dunwoody-based company said it has plans to add more D/Cs in the coming months in addition to the regional distribution center. TireHub did not elaborate on where that regional D/C would be located.
"Every new facility we open demonstrates our commitment and ability to serve dealers and retailers across the United States," TireHub CEO Ted Becker said.
"We are focused on providing more premium Goodyear and Bridgestone products to more markets and customers across the United States. TireHub's growth trajectory remains strong despite industry and market challenges."
The company said it is focused on providing dealers with premium passenger and light truck tire products, strengthened delivery capabilities and differentiated solutions.
TireHub recently added Cooper-, Mickey Thompson- and Starfire- brand tires to its portfolio, which also includes other Goodyear brands, Bridgestone and its brands, as well as Toyo-brand tires.
"We are seeing positive returns on the investments we are making across all aspects of our business," Becker said.
"I truly believe it's because our customers see how passionate we are about helping them grow. Since day one, TireHub has always operated with their business in mind. We will never stop evolving to meet their needs and are deeply appreciative of their support and loyalty."
TireHub calls its more than 1,600 employees "Hubbers" and credited company culture for its success.
"Along with the support of our shareholders, the success we have experienced is due to the hard work and dedication of our Hubbers," Becker said.
"Our first five years have been momentous, and TireHub isn't slowing down anytime soon. We look forward to more growth in the months and years ahead."
