MIAMI — Tire Group International (TGI) has upgraded its mileage warranty and road-hazard programs on Cosmo-brand passenger and light truck (P/LT) tires.
Now, all Cosmo P/LT tires will carry road-hazard and mileage warranty ranging from 40,000 to 70,000 miles.
Dominick Montouri, chief strategy officer of TGI, said the company's products are being tested on "the most rigorous" tracks and roads in the world, reflecting TGI's investments in manufacturing.
"We continue to set the bar for premium features and providing unparalleled value to our partners and consumers," Montouri said. "This is the next strategic step in delivering continued confidence that our products are the consumer's preferred choice in tires."
The upgrade includes all sizes of TGI's Mucho Macho and Mud Kicker tires.
Cosmo said it will launch its Gripit X/T, Rockit R/T and the premium touring, EV-ready Cosmo Kurrent in the near future. Those products are included in Cosmo's expanded mileage and road-hazard program.
TGI offers offers workmanship and a two-retread warranty on its Cosmo-branded medium truck/bus tire lines.
"Product development reflects our brand approach," TGI President Joaquin Gonzalez said. "It's the heartbeat of what we do. We have a trademark for the heartbeat design in our tread patterns as a visual reminder to consumers that we have the pulse of our industry, and we are on the forefront of what's next."
Miami-based TGI launched the Cosmo Tire brand in 1995 initially as a bias-ply light-truck tire brand marketed predominantly in Latin America and the Caribbean. TGI relaunched an upgraded and expanded product range in North America in 2019 with a full range of radial passenger, light- and medium-truck tire lines.
