PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — TBC Corp. has enhanced the warranty coverage on Sailun-brand truck tires it distributes in the U.S., increasing the coverage period to eight years and up to three retreads.
TBC, which has imported and marketed Sailun-brand truck tires since 2008, said the "enriched" Sailun Advantage warranty offers:
• An eight-year warranty for workmanship and materials from the date of manufacture — up from six years previously;
• A no-charge replacement within the first 50% of usable tread if it becomes unserviceable due to a defect in design, workmanship or material; and
• A casing retread warranty for up to three retreads — up from two retreads previously.
The enhanced coverage started with tires purchased on or after March 1.
TBC said this "game-changing" warranty program — which covers tires purchased on March 1 or later — reflects its belief that the Sailun brand is a combination of "outstanding" quality, competitive pricing, expansive product selection, enhanced warranties and the promise of multiple retreads.
Bill Dashiell, senior vice president, commercial tire division for TBC Brands, said: "Truck owners are looking for a program that will back their products and assist in the total lifecycle of the tire, a warranty that will go the distance for them."
Sailun-brand truck tires are manufactured by China's Sailun Group at plants in China and Vietnam.
TBC Brands sells tires through wholesale, retail and franchise operations, including the company's National Tire Wholesale, Tire Kingdom, NTB, Big O Tires and Midas brands.
