BOSTON — PartsTech, a B2B parts marketplace for the auto repair industry, is partnering with Bridgestone America's TireConnect inventory management program to offer its customers free access to more than 30 tire suppliers.
The collaboration enables PartsTech's 15,000 repair shop customers to have access to major tire suppliers within the PartsTech parts ordering platform.
PartsTech has offered tire ordering since 2022, but this is the first time that there are no subscription fees to access a large network of suppliers, the company said. PartsTech has over 50 tire suppliers in its network.
"We believe this is a major development for general repair shops that sell tires as it makes access to supply that much easier. For customers who wish to order through ATD, U.S. Autoforce, NTW and a few other major distributors, we still provide access through our paid Plus subscription," Doug Ellinger, PartTech chief marketing officer, said.
Tire distributors available through TireConnect include: TireHub, K&M Tire, Black's Tire & Auto Service, Tire Wholesalers Co. Inc. (TWI), Pomp's Tire Service Inc. and S&S Tire.
"By partnering with TireConnect to add a robust network of tire suppliers to our existing roster of 30,000-plus parts supplier locations, we've moved one step closer to providing a total procurement solution for repair shops," Erik St. Pierre, PartsTech founder and COO, said.
"PartsTech's customers already save a tremendous amount of time by sourcing parts from unlimited suppliers through our one-stop shopping platform. They can now find and buy tires and seamlessly integrate them into the estimating process in their preferred shop management system. This broadens the scope and speed of repair for many repair shops and helps customers get back on the road quicker."
TireConnect Vice President George Silagadze added, "By working with PartsTech, we are excited to bring their customers free access to a broad selection of tire offerings across our wide network of suppliers. With our partnership with PartsTech, we believe that we're helping to accelerate vehicle repairs by streamlining the way shops access and order from their suppliers."
