DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America Inc. has expanded its range of E4 mining tires with the launch of the MS400 series for haul trucks up to 320 tons.
The new tire series launches in three tread patterns and multiple tread compounds for differing surface mine applications, Maxam Tire said. They feature newly developed compounding and carcass construction designed to deliver value, productivity and lowest cost-per-ton value of operation.
The new tires are:
MS401 for applications that require maximum traction and high site TKPH/TMPH, featuring an "aggressive" tread design with heat-resistant under tread. Available in nine sizes, covering 24-, 25-, 33-, 35- and 49-inch rim diameters;
MS402 for a range of applications, from smooth haul roads to rough and rocky terrain, featuring enhanced shoulder lugs and a solid centerline providing increased protection, traction and tread life. Available in four sizes covering 33-, 35-, 49- and 51-inch rim diameters; and
MS403 for those interested in the lowest cost-per-hour/ton, featuring an "advanced" tread design for flexibility. Available in eight sizes covering 49-, 51-, 57- and 63-inch rim diameters.
