BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec — Distribution Stox Inc., a 5-year-old distributor partnership headquartered in Eastern Quebec, is launching an online-ordering platform, implementing enterprise-resource planning (ERP) software in its Ontario-based facilities.
The platform launches on March 22, providing customers with a modern platform that combines "simple, efficient and intuitive features," according to the company. It is the same platform that the company uses in his Quebec location.
Distribution Stox said the online-ordering platform has been designed specifically to enhance customer experience and contains a rich tool set, enabling "customers to manage product purchases with complete peace of mind."
The ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics AX, commonly called AX) will improve order fulfillment efficiencies in warehouses in Barrie (27,000 square feet) and Sudbury (7,000 square feet) according to the company. Distribution Sox acquired the facilities in October, 2019.
"We sincerely believe that our system creates a better buying experience, and we consider this as one of our greatest strengths,'' Leif Ellefsen, executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer for Distribution Stox, said.
Distribution Stox was founded in 2016 from a partnership of four tire distributors — Unimax Tire Ltd., Distribution Pneus RT, Distribution DSP and Distribu-Pneus.
In February, 2020, Distribution Stox acquired the distribution division of fellow Quebec wholesaler Les Pneus R. Guay Ltée, one of seven acquisitions it has completed..
In July 2019, Distribution Stox acquired Drummondville, Quebec-based Distribution CPP, which distributed passenger tires in parts of Montreal.
The company operates 15 distribution centers in Quebec and two in Ontario, with 150 delivery vehicles. It said it has plans to expand from coast to coast.
Among the brands it distributes are BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Firestone, Goodyear, Hankook, Kelly, Laufen, Michelin, Nokian, Pirelli, Sailun, Toyo and Yokohama.
