POMONA, Calif. — Wholesale Tire Distributors Inc. (WTD) Inc. has landed a punch in its marketing efforts.
The tire distributor is partnering with Leo Santa Cruz, a multi-division world champion boxer, to serve as a brand ambassador for its Arroyo Tires portfolio. WTD said the collaboration signifies a milestone for Arroyo as it expands its footprint across the globe.
Santa Cruz, from Mexico, is a four-weight world champion. He held the IBF bantamweight title from 2012 to 2013, the WBC super bantamweight title from 2013 to 2015, the WBA featherweight title twice between 2015 and 2022, and the WBA super featherweight title from 2019 to 2020.
In his role, Santa Cruz will appear in various promotions, including marketing campaigns, community events and sharing his personal experiences with Arroyo Tires products. WTD said the campaign will highlight "the brand's dedication to quality and performance, both on the road and in the ring."
Vahe Tchaghlassian of Arroyo Tires said WTD is excited to have Santa Cruz represent the Arroyo portfolio.
"Leo embodies the spirit of determination, skill, and excellence that aligns perfectly with our brand values," Tchaghlassian said. "His dedication to his sport and his commitment to achieving greatness make him an ideal ambassador for our company. We look forward to collaborating with him to inspire and connect with our customers."
According to WTD, Santa Cruz is an avid car collector. He owns several high-performance vehicles, including a 2024 Ram TRX upgraded with Hennessey Performance's Mammoth 1000 package, delivering more than 1,012 horsepower, as well as a widebody Nissan GT-R and a Mercedes-Maybach, among others.
Santa Cruz said he's honored to be partnering with Arroyo Tirs.
"Their reputation for quality and reliability is something I truly admire," he said. "Just as I strive for perfection in my boxing career, I know that Arroyo Tires strives to provide the best products for their customers. I'm excited to be part of this team and to help promote a brand that stands for excellence."
The partnership, WTD said, is designed to enhance the brand's visibility and resonate with fans across diverse platforms.
This marks the another marketing partnership for Arroyo Tires.
Earlier this year, Arroyo Tires announced that Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Outman, as well as comedian Adam Waheed and automotive YouTube star Parker Nirenstein will be representing the proprietary brand.
