CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has been named one of Charlotte's 2023 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association of Business Resources (NABR).
Huntersville, N.C.,-based ATD was one of four companies and organizations from the region recognized in the Charlotte metropolitan area, recognized for being a leader in employment standards. It is the second consecutive year ATD has received the honor.
"It is a tremendous honor to receive this distinction as one of the Best and Brightest companies in Charlotte," said Rebecca Sinclair, ATD chief people and corporate affairs officer. "We have been working vigorously to create and encourage an environment that focuses on our people-first culture, and we will continue to strive to be a top destination for top talent."
NABR has awarded the Best and Brightest recognition for 20 years.
An independent research firm Companies and evaluates organizations nominated for the honor in different categories including communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention.
Organizations are compared on a regional data of company performance as well as a national standard of commitment to excellent in operations and employee enrichment, ATD said.
ATD said its goal is to "continuously bring its new culture, vision and values to life while also reskilling its entire workforce." The company created a "Connected Culture" that encourages an "environment of knowledge and empowerment to put its people first and establish a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported."
ATD also designed a "digitally connected ecosystem" to drive talent development, continuous learning, constant curiosity and unlock resilience and agility.
