SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has relocated its Salt Lake City distribution center to a larger facility and is planning a similar move later this year in Louisville, Ky.
ATD said the new facility — located west of downtown Salt Lake City in a new warehouse district with ready access to Interstate 80 — is designed to fit its needs for this region better.
The wholesale distributor occupied the leased structure in mid-February; a ribbon-cutting for the 160,000-sq.-ft. facility is scheduled for March 8.
ATD has served the Utah market since 2005 from a smaller warehouse in Salt Lake City, which it has now vacated and turned back over to the landlord.
