BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Today's Class, a provider of daily, online training for the automotive repair industry, has added a platform feature, Timeline.
Timeline allows organizations to share announcements, deliver targeted communications and foster employee collaboration, the company said.
Timeline is expected to enhance the training platform by enabling users to share knowledge directly and consistently across teams, especially across multi-location businesses.
Companies can post information such as best practices, safety protocols or company updates, reaching employees directly without the need for email, the company said.
"Timeline provides a tremendous advantage to the Today's Class platform," Dewain DeGarmo, technical trainer and facilitatir at Black's Tire Service, said.
"With more than 50 locations and hundreds of employees to support, this tool streamlines my workflow and, ideally, encourages our technicians to connect, sharing repair techniques and best practices directly with one another," he said.
"Today's Class is committed to transforming training in the automotive aftermarket," David Boyes, president of Today's Class, said.
"We began this transformation by shifting technician and service adviser training from the common-place semi-annual sessions to adaptive, daily learning designed for long-term retention. Now, with features like Timeline, we're empowering our customers to collaborate seamlessly, placing valuable knowledge and resources directly in the hands of shop employees through an intuitive app experience."
Today's Class said it will release four new content topics by the end of the year: engine operation, electrical foundations, fasteners, and a service advisor topic on how starter systems operate and how to guide customers with starter concerns.
With these four additions, the 2024 release total is 14 new topics and major revisions on three others, the company said.
New topics planned for 2025 include electrical/electronic diagnostic, ADAS calibration, and engine diagnosis, along with more service advisor content.
