BOSTON — Shop management system software provider TireTutor has released what it is calling the first end-to-end sales platform for tire dealers.
The point-of-sale system, which includes an e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) platform, is designed to save money and time, according to TireTutor.
The Boston-based company estimates that the new platform can save 16 minutes per customer, meaning that dealerships that serve 30 customers per day, it equates to saving 40 hours per week.
TireTutor founder and CEO Jason Abrahams said the platform illustrates the "level of innovation" his company has invested in.
"With this system, we are revolutionizing the tire industry and connecting suppliers, dealers, and customers together in a way that truly hasn't been done before," Abrahams said. "Using TireTutor allows dealers to spend more time with their customers and less time on unnecessary busy work."
According to the company, the Shop Management System features an online tire catalog with programmatic tire inventory and pricing; an integrated auto repair scheduler with two-way calendar sync; prepayment functionality; automatic appointment reminders; consumer reviews; and data and reporting tools.
The level of integration, TireTutor says, allows for a seamless integration between online, in-store and supply chain operations, saving time on manual data entry.
"We believe this level of integration and automation is the biggest benefit of using TireTutor," Paul Wanless, head of product, said. "The CRM, supply chain features, and point-of-sale all talk to each other and operate in concert because we built this as a single, unified system out of the box."
TireTutor said its Shop Management System integrates with most major tire suppliers, providing the ability for a dealer to search for tires and orders from any partner/distributor.
The company also said dealers can have the system programed to apply the desired margin to the tires and base price off of current makret rates and algorithmic supply chain logic, "ensuring dealers maximize their profits."
TireTutor said that its SMS is available "as an enterprise-grade operating system" for multi-location dealers that offer a wholesale tire business, or for franchise repair chains. The data and analytics package provides historical and predictive analytics as well.
