PANAMA CITY — Former Bridgestone Corp. executive Eduardo Minardi, founder of Minardi Global, will facilitate a panel discussion at the upcoming Latin Tyre & Auto Parts Expo, set for July 31-Aug. 2 at the Panama Convention Center.
Minardi will be leading a talk on Aug. 1 entitled, "Digital technology to sell more and improve product performance." The session will examine how digital technology can be used as a source of competitive advantage in the tire and automotive parts sector.
Digital solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) are impacting the value chain, according to conference organizers. Distributors and retailers are using digital tools not only to sell more but also to help them with customers, promote loyalty, generate cross-selling opportunities, improve efficiency and optimize marketing and data-driven business decisions.
Some of the advanced digital tools include automating online sales and the supply process. Smart sensors also provide real-time monitoring and data-driven insights with multiple benefits.
Minardi will talk about how these and other tools form part of new digital ecosystems to create new value in the tire and auto parts business.
Other participants include:
- Gastón Zelerteins, CEO of Alephee, who will discuss the impact of online sales and the supply process automation in the Latin American tire industry;
- Matías Borges, managing director of Bravo Digital Solutions L.L.C:, whose topic is "The Digital Retail Store is already here and increases sales over 30%;" and
- Keith Ferry, founder and CEO of Cerebrum Sensor Technologies, who will talk about advancements in intelligent tire sensing technology.
The conferences will be followed by a Q&A session.
