CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill Tire's director of training, Mike Storey, has attained World Class ASE Certification, after having earned 22 specific ASE certifications in vehicle repair.
Storey is involved in training all new hires and fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development. Under his guidance, new employees receive comprehensive training, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to customers, the dealership said.
In addition to onboarding new team members, Storey regularly holds classes for current employees who are preparing to take their own ASE exams or who want to sharpen their skills.
"His commitment to ongoing education and his passion for sharing his expertise have significantly contributed to the professional growth of our staff and the high standards of service at Chapel Hill Tire. In 2024 alone, Chapel Hill Tire team members have earned more than 85 certifications, a testament to the culture of continuous improvement fostered by Mike Storey and the entire leadership team," the dealership said.
The World Class ASE Certification is one of the highest honors in the automotive service industry, representing a mastery of technical knowledge and skills. To earn this certification, an individual must pass a series of exams covering a wide range of automotive systems and repair techniques.
This certification requires years of practical experience and an in-depth understanding of advanced automotive technology. In 2023, only 44 individuals received this distinction.
"We are incredibly proud of Mike's achievement," Chapel Hill President Marc Pons said.
"His dedication to his craft and to the development of our team is truly inspiring. This certification not only recognizes his individual talent but also reinforces the exceptional quality of service that our customers have come to expect from Chapel Hill Tire."
