BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and Mohr Retail will offer a series of leadership courses for managers of retail, commercial and multi-unit operations.
The courses include Retail Tire Store Leadership (vRTSL), Commercial Tire Store Leadership (vCTSL) and a new Retail Multi-unit Management (vRMM) course.
The programs are "designed to help managers and store leaders develop the interpersonal and leadership skills needed to retain, engage and enhance their teams' productivity," according to TIA.
All classes are virtual and taught on Zoom by Glen Nicholson, a former automotive service technician, tire store manager and district manager and past senior director of retail training for TBC Corp.
Classes are 90 minutes to two hours in length.
The vRSTL sessions are:
- Class No. 1: Feb. 15, 17, 22, 24 and March 1, 3, 8, 10.
- Class No. 2: March 29, 31 and April 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21.
- Class No. 3: May 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26.
- Class No. 4: Sept. 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and Oct. 4, 6.
- Class No. 5: Oct. 24, 26, 31 and Nov. 2, 7, 9, 14, 16.
The vCTSL sessions are:
- Class No. 1: Feb. 15, 17, 22, 24 and March 1, 3, 8, 10 .
- Class No. 2: May 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26.
- Class No. 3: Sept. 13, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28 and Oct. 3, 5.
The vRMM sessions are:
- Class No. 1: March 23, 30 and April 6, 13, 20.
- Class No. 2: Oct. 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 1, 8.
