BETHESDA, Md. — The Auto Care Association (ACA), in partnership with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)., has recognized 44 auto techs from around the U.S. as recipients of the World Class Technician Award
The two organizations provide the annual recognition to professional technicians who have attained ASE certification in 22 specific areas during the previous calendar year.
This latest class of 44 expands the ranks of technicians who have earned World Class Technician status since its inception over 30 years ago to 2,224. .
There are an estimated 887,000 technicians in the U.S., with about 250,000 holding ASE certification.
The class of 2023 World Class Technicians comprises technicians from 22 states. The ACA and ASE did not provide the technicians' employers.
The new World Class Technicians are:
