TECH Tire Repairs launches online training portal

JOHNSTOWN, Ohio — TECH Tire Repairs, a wholly owned company of Technical Rubber Co., has launched TECH University Online, a learning portal that the company said offers "21st century, screen-based e-learning techniques."

Cost of the subscription is $50 annually. The courses are available to all technicians in the same tire repair shop for the duration of the year subscription.

An unlimited number of technicians also can be trained for an annual fee.

According to TECH Tire, the online courses are organized into six modules, following TECH's proper tire repair acronym R.E.P.A.I.R.

TECH's trainer, Izzy, is featured on each module. The training can be accessed 24/7 and is optimized for all mobile devices, allowing technicians the ability to access it as needed.

TECH Americas General Manager Chris Intihar said the program helps "shops attract new technicians and retain current technicians by investing in their career training, while minimizing potential liability from improperly repaired tires from under-trained personnel. TECH University Online is taking TECH's philosophy of, Teach Each Customer How, to the next level."

TECH said it continually adds courses and updates content as necessary, offering several paths to industry certifications.
