Lexus reports that the convertible tops on some 2010-14 IS250C and IS350C models may stick, stop at mid-travel, only open partially or may close, then return to the open position with no input from the driver.
According to the car maker, the top problems typically occur in warmer temperatures, and are the result of design flaws in the two roof stopper cushions.
Replacing the original stopper cushions with updated components, part No. 63279-53011, should eliminate further issues.
