DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — The Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) will air a webinar Sept. 15 focused on the issue of hiring and retaining qualified employees for tire and wheel service.
The WTC has arranged for three individuals with industry experience — Ted Schlaack, RimTyme business consultant; Gary Ruede, supervisor, technical at Discount Tire/America's Tire; and Kent Hobson, tire/battery center operations for Sam's Club — to discuss what their companies are doing to address the personnel issue.
The webinar, "Staffing and Training for the Wheel and Tire Aftermarket," will air live from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15.
Those attending can expect to come away with strategies and trends for building a team, and learn real-life examples of what has and hasn't worked for the panelists' companies, the WTC said.
Participants will be able to ask questions throughout the webinar.
