BETHESDA, Md. — The University of the Aftermarket Foundation, which provides scholarships to automotive students, is seeking donations through Amazon.com's Amazon Smile fundraising portal.
By registering on Amazon Smiles, a percentage of purchases made on Amazon.com is donated to the selected charity.
"We encourage everyone to take a moment and visit Amazon Smile," Bob Egan, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, said.
"Each purchase made through this dedicated web portal will help the University of the Aftermarket Foundation fund automotive scholarships at no additional cost to you. It takes just a moment to set up and is an easy way to help others as you make everyday purchases."
To register, visit https://smile.amazon.com/ and enter University of the Aftermarket Foundation in the "pick your own charitable foundation" box. Then search and select the University of the Aftermarket Foundation as the charity of choice.
When accessing the Amazon website through https://smile.amazon.com/ and making purchases, Amazon will make a contribution to the foundation.
The University of the Aftermarket Foundation said it has funded millions of dollars of scholarships, grants, research and ongoing educational programs to help develop the aftermarket workforce. The foundation encourages industry support, including donations for the purpose of honoring or memorializing individuals or otherwise recognizing special events, to help ensure the continued availability of training and education.
