BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec — Point S Canada has canceled its annual meeting, scheduled for May 20-21 in Montreal, as the coronavirus spreads.
"We have implemented several preventive measures to ensure the health of all our employees and partners to allow business continuity," Point S Canada CEO and President Bruno LeClair wrote to members. "The management team meets daily to ensure proactive actions and to monitor the developments.
"You will agree with me that it would be inconceivable, even of bad taste to go ahead with this big gathering."
The meeting was to be held at the Four Seasons resort in Montreal. As many as 400 were expected to attend.
The 2021 meeting has yet to be scheduled, according to a spokesman from the marketing group.
