CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Openbay Inc., an online platform that connects vehicle owners with local auto service shops, now offers an upgraded Openbay+ subscription program to Lyft drivers.
According to OpenBay, a banner is present on all Lyft driver accounts, allowing drivers to opt into the program.
An explanation of the Openbay+ program is provided to all Lyft drivers, Openbay said.
Key updates to the program include: Savings for automotive service of up to 25%; a credit card is no longer required to enroll in the program and there is expanded coverage areas throughout the U.S.
Openbay said the updated Lyft dashboard includes a search field for an array of services. If the driver doesn't know what service to select, the workflow tool helps describe the problem with the vehicle.
The Openbay+ user interface shows pricing to include retail price, discounted price and savings. It also lists amenities to help drivers select the right shop for them. Openbay+ offers subscribers discounted pricing for all automotive services within a nationwide network of service shops.
Drivers also can search by customer ratings and reviews, distance and price. Drivers can book an appointment and will receive confirmation through the program.
