CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Openbay Inc., an online platform that connects vehicle owners with local auto service shops, has partnered with Toco Warranty Corp. and GoBrands Inc.'s Gopuff delivery service.
Toco Warranty, a direct-to-consumer provider of vehicle service contracts, now includes Openbay+, a subscription service that matches vehicle service contract holders with auto service centers that offer preferred pricing.
Openbay+ is a separate offering and complementary to vehicle service contract plans. It provides discounts for vehicle repair and maintenance services not covered by vehicle service contracts.
Toco Warranty customers get upfront pricing on general repair and maintenance services and can book appointments with nearby service professionals that offer discounts of up to 25% on parts and labor. Contract holders gain immediate access to Openbay+ as soon as they purchase their vehicle service contract from Toco Warranty.
Toco Warranty vehicle service contract holders on Openbay+ get matched with multiple local automotive service professionals that can service their make of vehicle and provide the requested service.
Openbay+ provides a variety of service professionals on its platform, including mobile mechanics who will service a vehicle at the customer's home, independently owned and operated service centers, national name-brand and franchise businesses, national corporate brands and franchise dealerships, Openbay said.
Openbay+ presents verified customer ratings and reviews for each service professional, alongside location information, amenities, shop hours and specialized automotive certifications.
