LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the AAPEX trade show, set for Nov. 3-5 in Las Vegas, are seeking nominations for three new awards to recognize the essential jobs service advisers, shop owners and technicians provide to keep the motoring public on the road.
AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo) will be held at the Sands Expo and Caesars Forum Conference Center in Las Vegas, in conjunction with the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nov. 3-6.
Nominations for the AAPEX Service Advisor of the Year, AAPEX Shop Owner of the Year and AAPEX Technician of the Year awards can be completed at aapexshow.com. Nominations are due July 31.
Judging will be conducted by an independent panel of shop owners and industry leaders who will evaluate the nominees based on their commitment to training and ASE certification; local, community, charitable and industry involvement; diagnostic, teamwork and mentoring skills; and personal and professional qualities.
The award recipients will be announced and honored during AAPEX 2020.
AAPEX is co-owned by the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, the light vehicle aftermarket division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association.
Historically, AAPEX features approximately 2,500 exhibiting companies displaying their latest products, services and technologies.
Organizers said they are preparing for this year's show by following guidelines and best practices laid out for events by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with national and local government mandates.
