ST. LOUIS — Hunter Engineering Co. has released an optional harsh-duty variation for its standard RX scissor-lift racks that feature stainless-steel slip plate top surfaces and turnplates.
Hunter said the racks provide a solution for challenges that occur with brine solutions being used more commonly in place of or along with road salt in wintry conditions, which can harm automobiles and automotive shop equipment.
The lift rack has a zinc-rich primer base coat and powder top coat that covers lift runways, ramps and bases, providing two layers of protection.
The rack also features epoxy-caulked joints, preventing salt seepage between adjoining pieces of metal.
"Today's brine solutions used on many roads are challenging auto makers and equipment manufacturers alike," Hunter Vice President of Marketing Pete Liebetreu said.
"These solutions are so aggressive, that we decided to offer our customers additional options to keep their Hunter equipment in great condition for a long time to come."
Hunter said its scissor lift family offers maximum capacity in a low-profile compact package, with extra-wide runways and a hydraulic system to lower descent time.
Hunter recently announced an integration partnership with Dealer-FX and its ONE platform service, a dashboard that provides workflow control for car dealerships.
