WIXOM, Mich. — Tire Pressure Monitor System component manufacturer Hamaton Inc. has developed an aftermarket BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensor exclusively for Tesla vehicles.
The U-Pro Hybrid BLE — which sends an alert to the vehicle's computer system via BLE when air pressure drops, triggering the TPMS light — is a direct replacement for the Sysgration BLE sensor, the only original equipment sensor to use BLE technology.
BLE sensors are found in Tesla Model 3 (2021 and later), Model S (2022 and later) and Model Y.
"The sudden rise in (Tesla) popularity has seen demand for an aftermarket sensor soar as more and more tire bays encounter Tesla vehicles," Hamaton said.
The U-Pro Hybrid BLE will come preprogrammed, so technicians can install them on the Tesla models without programming, and is available in two clamp-in valve colors, black or graphite, designed to complement the alloy wheel finish.
