Patrice Banks owns Girls Auto Clinic in Upper Darby, Pa.
UPPER DARBY, Pa. — Girls Auto Clinic Repair Center was featured on NBC's "Today" show June 5.
Shop owner Patrice Banks appeared in a special segment led by style editor Bobbie Thomas, spotlighting car care, confidence and the women who make it all happen.
In the pre-recorded segment, Banks led Thomas around the shop, which also includes an adjacent nail salon, and showed her how to do some maintenance jobs on a vehicle, such as an oil change.
Banks opened her female-centric auto shop in 2016 in Upper Darby, hiring female technicians and hosting car care clinics for women to help them feel more confident about taking care of their vehicles.
She also has published a car maintenance handbook entitled "Girls Auto Clinic Glove Box Guide," given speeches, written educational blogs for her Girls Auto Clinic website and her Facebook page, and appeared in numerous media interviews.
