Some 2010-11 4Runner and FJ Cruiser SUVs with 4.0-liter engines may intermittently illuminate the Check Engine light and store throttle body trouble code P2111 and/or P2112 in the PCM. According to Toyota, if there are no symptoms present when the Check Engine light comes on and the only codes logged are those listed above, the electronic throttle body assembly likely has an internal fault. Replacing the throttle body with an updated unit, part # 22030-31060, should eliminate further trouble.
