AUSTIN, Texas — Epicor Software Corp., a business software provider, has acquired MechanicNet Group Inc., a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) and retention solutions for auto service businesses.
Financial terms of the agreement, finalized June 3, were not disclosed.

Pleasanton, Calif.-based MechanicNet develops web-based CRM tools and related solutions for vehicle service businesses to help increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. The company offers an array of solutions, including service reminders, estimate follow-ups, online appointment setting, customer-facing service portals, shop-branded websites, and customer marketing campaigns, for repair businesses in the U.S. and Canada.
Epicor offers the PartExpert database of replacement parts, tires, labor and other information embedded in several shop management platforms. Epicor also offers a web-based estimating solution, Integrated Service Estimator, that helps vehicle service locations estimate and source parts and related supplies for maintenance services and mechanical repairs.
Its aftermarket B2B eCommerce channel, Epicor Parts Network, connects thousands of parts sellers with more than 180,000 registered service location buyers.
