CREAMERY, Pa. — Creamery Tire Inc., a retail tire dealership with three locations in the northern Philadelphia suburbs, is the latest firm to install a RoboTire tire-changing robot.
The locally owned and operated dealership is using the fourth generation of RoboTire Inc.'s tire-changing system, which combines robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, at its store in Creamery, an unincorporated community in Montgomery County about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
The partnership between Creamery Tire and Plymouth, Mich.-based RoboTire offers customers a distinct tire-buying experience that aims to improve the overall tire-changing experience, RoboTire said.
According to RoboTire, its tire-changing system can reduce the tire-changing experience to less than 25 minutes from up to an hour, which allows shops to serve more customers safely and efficiently.
