PORTLAND, Ore. — Cloud-based shop management provider ASA Automotive Systems and Sonsio Vehicle Protection are offering ASA software users the opportunity to sell Sonsio L.L.C. road-hazard protection plans through a new partnership.

Under the agreement, ASA software customers can purchase Sonsio road-hazhard plans seamlessly, the companies said, with Sonsio managing the plan. Sonsio said it offers protection at the time of the purchase through partnerships with tire dealers, repair facilities and other automotive businesses.

ASA Automotive Systems claims more than 3,000 independent tire dealers, retreaders and automotive service and repair shops across North America use its software systems.

Jared Bailey, director of TireMaster Operations for ASA Automotive Systems called the integration with Sonsio Vehicle Protection "a tremendous benefit for our customer."

He said consumers no longer "will be bogged down with the time-consuming steps involved in the road-hazard registration process. They'll have the added ability to rapidly reduce costs and improve their efficiencies, while increasing revenue and customer retention, all within our single, all-in-one shop management system."

Stan Hornung, Sonsio's vice president of tire and mechanical operations, said the road-hazard program "generates immediate income, eliminates any long-term financial or regulatory risk and drives repeat business."

In its promotional literature, Sonsio claims there are over 5 million road-hazard claims annually in the U.S.
