BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — AME International, a supplier of tire changing tools and equipment, has released the 68000 Socket Bro, an impact-rated turbo socket set.
According to AME, the 68000 Socket features a half-inch impact-related fitting that the company said eliminates the need to change tools.
The Socket Bro is designed to remove fasteners that are up to 70% rounded off, and the company said that when the weighted disc is added, it increases busting power by 40%.
"Often, the standard impact gun and socket will not have enough power to remove automotive fasteners," Don Tinker of AME's North America business development said.
The added busting power, Mr. Tinker said, eliminates to need to use a breaker bar or purchase a bigger gun.
