LAS VEGAS — Julie Holmes, co-CEO of Virginia Tire & Auto, won the Women in Auto Care’s Female Shop Owner of the Year during the Women in Auto Care Awards ceremony at AAPEX 2024 Nov. 6.
Holmes was commended for her passion and leadership that impacts all aspects of her 15-location dealership, based in McLean, Va.
After a legal career, Holmes joined Virginia Tire more than 10 years ago to run her parents’ business.
Together with her husband and co-CEO, Mike, Holmes has focused on creating an experience that exceeds expectations for the more than 200,000 customers that Virginia Tire serves annually, WiAC said, noting that Holmes is equally committed to building a supportive environment for her team, assuring that everyone has growth opportunities.
She is a vocal champion of bringing women into the auto repair industry and strongly advocates for women to choose a career in the auto repair industry, WiAC said.
