LAS VEGAS — The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) has named Hunter Engineering its "Manufacturer of the Year," an award that recognizes a manufacturing company for "outstanding contributions" to the automotive industry during the previous 12 months.
SEMA did not specify any single achievement in naming Hunter its top manufacturing company for 2019, but said in general the award recipient meets "rigorous criteria," including demonstrating outstanding business practices, establishing innovative processes and products, investing in the well-being of employees, exhibiting a high-degree of corporate responsibility, protecting company brand equity and providing exceptional customer service to customers.
Other winners of the SEMA award this year were:
- Person of the Year: Dan Kahn, Kahn Media Inc.;
- Gen-III Innovator of the Year: Chris Candido, Turn 14 Distribution;
- Rep Agency of the Year: Kunzman & Associates; and
- Warehouse Distributor of the Year: AllPro Distributing.
"We are honored to recognize each year the individuals and companies who embody the spirit of our industry," Chris Kersting, SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting said.
At the 2019 SEMA Show, Hunter demonstrated most of its product line, including nine new products and 15 enhanced products.
"We are proud to be a part of SEMA and receive the industry's top Manufacturer of the Year award," Hunter President Beau Brauer said.
St. Louis-based Hunter in active in alignment systems, wheel and tire service, brake service and inspection lane equipment.
