LAS VEGAS — Texas tire dealer Baker Ghanim has developed a tire procurement portal, dubbed oTo.tires, that he said aggregates multiple tire suppliers into one platform.
The software, which debuted at the recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas, does not cost tire retailers to use.
Tire wholesalers integrated in the software thus far include American Tire Distributors (ATD); Dunlap & Kyle/Gateway Tire; K&M Tire; National Tire Wholesale (NTW): TireHub; Southern Tire Mart and U.S. AutoForce, the firm said.
The company promises that more integrations are being developed.
Ghanim is president of Tire Store Service Centers, a nine-store dealership headquartered in Bedford, Texas, and founded by his father in the early 2000s.
The company said that because of Ghanim's first-hand knowledge of the difficulties of procuring product from several tire distributors, he designed the platform not only for his team, but also to help other tire dealers.
According to oTo.tires, the platform improves efficiency, eases daily inventory operations and maximizes profits for tire dealers.
oTo.tiressaid the program offers other features such as manufacturer program supplier prioritization; out- the-door quotes; a view of the retail counter; a staggered fitment search; extensive filtering; a mobility search; and item details.
