LAS VEGAS — Continental Tire the Americas’ Hoosier Tire brand and Ford Performance Parts & Accessories were the top dogs in the 2024 SEMA Show Best New Products Awards in the tire/tire-related and wheel/wheel-related categories.
The awards are given to the “most innovative and cutting-edge” automotive aftermarket products that will be consumable in 2025, according to the Specialty Equipment Market Association, which organizes the awards.
More than 1,600 products were entered into the 18 different Showcase categories this year. Winners were selected based on a variety of factors that included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability and more.
Conti’s Hoosier Racing Tire business unit took top honors in the tire category for its TrackAttack Pro, an extreme performance summer tire for on-road driving and racing that it launched recently.
Runners-up in the tire category are Kumho Tire USA Inc. and JK Tyre Co. Ltd. for their Solus 4S HA 32 grand touring all-weather tire and JK UX1 high-performance tire, respectively.
The Track Attack Pro is UTQG 200-rated and was launched in September in 46 sizes covering 15- to 21-inch rim diameters.
The Solus 4S HA32 launched in Juanuary initially in 26 sizes, fitting tires with rim diameters of 15 to 19 inches, and backed by a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty.
The UX1 is JK Tyres' entry into the premium performance tire market segment. It's availble in 11 metric and P-metric SKUs covering 15- to 17-inch rim diameters and H and V speed ratings.
Ford Performance Parts & Accessories won for is Mustang R1 Wheel Kit, bright machined matte black DecoTech version, 19.5- by 10.5-inch front and 19- by 11-inch rear.
Runners-up were the Ridler 681GGP from The Wheel Group and the MT Open 5 by Goodyear’s Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels business unit.
In addition, Reve Labs Inc. took home both first place and runner-up honors in the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Product category for its Revv ADAS Plus and Revv ADAS Mechanical products.
RevvADAS is described as an artificial-intelligence-driven process that decodes VINs and generates detailed calibration reports to uncover overlooked revenue opportunities, ensure repairs follow OEM specifications and get vehicles safely back to customers faster.
A second runner-up award was given to Vision Automobile Electronics Industrial for its Solar Wireless Driving Assistant.
