BOWIE, Md. — Country music singer-songwriters Tom Douglas and Lori McKenna will perform at the Tire Industry Association's (TIA) 100th anniversary celebration Nov. 1 at the Chelsea theater inside the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Douglas has written songs for such country artists as John Michael Montgomery, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, George Strait and Keith Urban. McKenna earned back-to-back Grammy Awards for Best Country Song as songwriter for Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" and Tim McGraw's "Humble and Kind. Their performances are sponsored by Bridgestone Americas Inc.
The anniversary program also will include an inspirational address by Vietnam veteran and four-time Super Bowl champion Rocky Bleier. His speech is sponsored by Goodyear.
The event will include speeches from incoming TIA president Mason Hess and past presidents Dan Nothdurft and CEO Roy Littlefield III, who is retiring at the end of the year.
The event takes place the day before the opening of the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show.
