FULLERTON, Calif. — Pete's Road Service Inc. of Fullerton has converted its retread operation to using Marangoni Tread products and services.
The move includes the ability to use Marangoni's Ringtread (spliceless retread) as well as Unitread, according to Marangoni Tread North America. Previously Pete's Road Service was an Oliver Rubber-affiliated retreader.
Pete's Road Service President Kyle Fletcher said the switch "offered us the ability to broaden our market, grow our market share and be more competitive. We have been independent for 50 years, and by aligning ourselves with Marangoni, we will continue to enjoy our independence long into the future."
Pete's Road Service, celebrating its 50th year in business and still family owned, opened as a single shop in Anaheim. Today it has 10 locations in Southern California, including shops in Fullerton, Corona, San Bernadino and Santa Ana.
Pete's Road Service, among the 35 largest commercial dealerships in the U.S. with sales of over $50 million, operates a commercial tire retread plant with a capacity of more than 30,000 retreads a year.
