DALLAS — Tread rubber supplier Pre-Q Galgo Corp. has determined its Galgo regional drive (DGR) tread design meet the winter traction performance parameters of the industry's 3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) designation.
The certification means that its treads have passed the approval tests established by the ECE 109 R Annex 10 norm of the European Union regulation.
According to the company, the DGR design provides extreme traction in wet, snow and muddy conditions. It has a block design with aligned sipes and an open shoulder for cooling and self-cleaning.
The variable pitch design reduces noise while angled blocks reduce stone retention.
The Galgo product line now includes 21 3PMSF-certified treads.
Dallas-based Pre-Q Galgo is a subsidiary of Industrias de hule Galgo S.A. de C.V., the Mexico City-based parent company.
