Yokohama rebate rewards UHP tire purchases

SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) is offering U.S. consumers a $100 rebate on the purchase of four Advan Apex ultra-high-performance tires made March 1-31.

The rebate is in the form of a prepaid Yokohama Visa card or a Visa Virtual Account.

Yokohama added the Apex to its North American performance lineup last summer, saying at that time it draws on performance parameters offered by "iconic" Yokohama UHP tires such as the A008, AVS Intermediate, AVS Sport and Advan Sport V105.

Developed for the North American market, the Y-rated Advan Apex is considered Yokohama's "flagship" performance tire, according to Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama's director of marketing, who noted it was the Best New Tire runner-up at the 2019 SEMA Show.

The Apex is available in 44 sizes, covering 17- to 20-inch rim diameter fitments, and is backed by a 25,000-mile limited tread warranty (12,500-mile on staggered fitments), YTC said.

The rebate is available at participating Yokohama dealers nationwide and select authorized online dealers.

The Apex is listed various online sites for approximately $140 to $328 per tire, depending on size.

Details of the promotion can be found at yokohamatire.com/promotions.
