RALEIGH, N.C. — The Valvoline Instant Oil Change network has reached 1,000 franchised locations throughout the U.S. and Canada with the recent opening of a store in Raleigh.
Quality Automotive Services L.L.C., one of Valvoline Inc.'s largest franchise partners, operates the three-bay store in Raleigh, one of 166 Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations throughout 13 states it operates.
"When we opened our first Valvoline Instant Oil Change location in 2001, we knew it was the beginning of a strong partnership with Valvoline," QAS CEO Matt McKeown said.
"We're excited to be a part of this milestone with the company and look forward to many more years of bringing quick, easy, and trusted automotive preventive services to even more communities."
Noting the milestone, Valvoline President and CEO Lori Flees said, "The strength of our franchise network has been and continues to be a key ingredient to our accelerated growth. We have the best franchise partners in our industry, including our more than 20 years of partnership with QAS."
VIOC recently was ranked No. 1 in automotive preventive maintenance service providers on Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 2024 list.
The opening of the 1,000th franchise outlet brings the number of stores system-wide to nearly 1,900 retail locations, including roughly 100 in Canada under the Great Canadian Oil Change name.
Among the franchisees are a number of larger tire dealerships in the U.S., the most prominent of which is Burt Brothers Tire & Service, which operates Valvoline Instant Oil Change service lanes at several of its 20 locations throughout Utah.
Valvoline said 38 new stores opened in the first quarter of its 2024 fiscal year; the company has a goal of having more than 3,500 locations in operation.
