MINOT, N.D. — Minot Tires Inc., dba Tires Plus Total Car Care, has ended its Tires Plus franchise agreement after two-plus decades and rebranded itself as Trusted Tire & Auto.

"We just don't find it necessary to be associated with a large out-of-state corporation that doesn't always share our values," Owner Jarid Lundeen said, noting that after 23 years, he decided that it was time for a change.

"If you've done business with us, you know we are reliable. You know we are trustworthy. Now our name demonstrates that."

The Tires Plus brand is owned by Bridgestone Retail Operations L.L.C., which operates more than 400 Tire Plus-branded stores in 23 states.

Trusted Tire, which operates two stores in Minot — including one on the Minot Air Force Base — and two in Bismarck, N.D., said the name change comes after six years of planning and will allow the company to grow its brand across the Midwest.

The dealership said it has expanded its service warranty on all repairs for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

"This warranty is a testament to the company's commitment to providing high-quality service and standing behind their work," the company said.
