BOWIE, Md. — Several spots are available for a virtual retail sales and service course to be held on three Tuesdays in May, according to the course's organizers, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and MOHR Retail.
The course, which consists of three two-hour virtual sessions, is focused on developing retail tire sales associates to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
The course will be held May 9, 16 and 23, with the goal of enhancing the skills and knowledge of tire shop sales personnel so they can add value to customer interaction.
Session one will center on the customer, maintaining and enhancing self-esteem and providing efficient customer service. The course will teach three service skills to create an environment where customers feel welcomed.
Session two will cover five skills for helping customers make decisions when buying and enhancing their experience with additional recommendations. It also will review how to ask purposeful questions, selling value, listening to reinforce decisions, expanding the sale and closing the sale.
The final session will examine overcoming objections and gaining customer commitment and include actual practice of the skills and strategies in small group breakout sessions. Students will apply a five-step service interaction to their real-world scenarios and learn how to use what they've learned so they can apply it at their place of employment.
Classes will meet virtually from 10 a.m. to noon EST. Cost is $350 per person.
