MCKINNEY, Texas — Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. has opened a Driver's Edge Tire & Auto Service store in McKinney, the 18th such store in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
The greenfield-construction 14-bay store is located on Virginia Parkway two miles west of downtown McKinney, a city of 200,000-plus residents situated 30 miles north of Dallas. It is the third Driver's Edge outlet in McKinney.
It is Sun Auto Tire's fifth addition to the retail chain this year, and the dealership expects to open a 19th Driver's Edge location before year-end, in Garland, Texas.
"Our company is proud to grow its existing presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area," Bob Ford, senior director of operational excellence, Sun Auto Tire, said.
"Driver's Edge has an established reputation of being a one-stop destination for whatever your vehicle may need. From preventative maintenance to the top tire brands, this newly opened location will be no different."
The store opened for business March 13. A grand opening scheduled for March 17 and 18 will include giveaways and specials, the company said.
Sun Auto Tire operates nearly 400 auto service businesses in 18 states, operating under 26 brand names.
