BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec — Les Affaires, a French-language monthly newspaper, has identified Point S Canada as one of Quebec's 300 largest employers.
According to Montreal-based Les Affaires, Point S is the the 19th largest company in the province, with 6,000 of its 6,600 employees based in Quebec.
Point S credits its ranking to building "a strong reputation" while gaining "solid credibility with consumers by developing bonds of trust, which sets it apart in its sector."
Point S called the ranking "a testament to its hard work and all the efforts it has made to achieve its strategic and operational goals and in pursuit of excellence."
Point S Canada credited its elevated customer level for helping to "set itself apart in a complex, evolving market."
Point S is involved in the community through the Procure Foundation and Le grand défi Pierre Lavoie, whose mission is to foster "a culture of preventive health in Québec by leading people to adopt healthy life habits. We are determined to develop the fitness movement even more, to fight against obesity, and to increase prevention in our health care system," particularly with students.
Point S said one of its top priorities is "to have a positive impact on society and motivate employees to get involved in their favorite causes."
There are over 860 stores in Canada operating under one of Point S Canada's banners, which include Point S, Point S City, V1, Otobox, Prestige Tire, Méga Pneu, and Max Plus Tires, located in Alberta, British Columbia, Labrador, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
