ROME, Ga. — Pirelli Tire North America has begun offering a refreshed version of its TireClub+ B2B tire sales platform, which was upgraded to make it more efficient to use, offering tire dealers a better digital experience.
The platform, launched 10 years in Europe, offers a range of new functionality, including real- time monitoring of deliveries, more straightforward order management, access to data and statistics and regular news updates from Pirelli.
The latest version of TireClub+ — launched in January in Italy and Germany and now available on a wider basis, including the U.S. — incorporates new filters that simplify search results, Pirelli said, making ordering easier, faster and more intuitive.
The platform indicates which products are available and in what quantities, where they're located and their cost, including any promotions that are on offer. A new tracking system monitors delivery status in real time, along with more accurate delivery dates and an individual order log that goes back 18 months.
Pirelli said it reworked the platform based on feedback from users and by incorporating input from experts in e-commerce user experience to help ensure information is readily available in just a few clicks.
From a technological point of view, the platform was developed entirely in the cloud on Salesforce.com, a leader in customer-relationship management (CRM) solutions. This helps guarantee high standards of performance, reliability, security and sustainability, Pirelli said, including a projected 40% reduction in CO2 emissions compared with current systems.
