AKRON — Myers Tire Supply — a distributor of tools, equipment and supplies for the tire, wheel, and under-vehicle service industry — has launched MTS Xpress, a proprietary inventory management tool.
MTS Xpress is a mobile app designed to help customers gain control of their inventory and lower their operating costs by connecting customers to Myers' product inventory.
A Myers Tire Supply representative or an authorized customer employee can order an unlimited number of consumables, making sure the right products are on their shelves at the right time, the company said.
"We go to our customers and set min/max levels for their consumables. Then, with the MTS Xpress app on their phone, any shop employee or Myers representative can quickly and easily replenish their stock," Bill Bailey, vice president of sales, said.
"They simply scan the product barcode with the app, set the quantity they need, then send it. The order will be processed and shipping can begin within 10 minutes of being placed.
"No other distributor in our space can provide this level of service to customers. This is just one more example of our many tailored customer solutions."
