RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Giti Tire USA Ltd. has enhanced its GT Radial Smart associate dealer program with new incentives and a refreshed website.
"Independent tire dealers are absolutely critical to the success of GT Radial," Thomas Okihisa, director of marketing for Giti Tire USA, said. "The Smart Program is designed to give them the necessary tools to promote GT Radial in the most effective way possible."
On the incentive side, Smart Program dealers receive quarterly credits for selling designated tires. Dealers now will receive their credits through the new Smart Card, and an incentive trip has been added to reward dealers who sell a targeted number of units, the Rancho Cucamonga-based subsidiary of Giti Tire Group said.
The new website — gtradialsmartprogram.com — provides marketing tools and education to help dealers communicate the GT Radial value proposition, including key product attributes, more effectively to customers.
To enjoy the advantages of the Smart Program, dealers need to enroll and place an initial order of 24 units.
Dealer education is facilitated by the company's online program, treadacademy.com, which provides training modules on GT Radial products and general categories such as passenger, light truck and winter tires.
The refreshed gtradial.com website brings a new look to GT Radial as well as increased functionality with an enhanced dealer locator and improved tire finder function. The GT Radial USA product catalog has also been completely redesigned to complement the new look.
Mr. Okihisa noted that dealers should expect to have more U.S.-manufactured passenger and light truck tires in the firm's portfolio this year as production ramps up at the firm's factory in Richburg, S.C.
"We also have some exciting activities planned such as GT Radial's return to Formula DRIFT competition."
Besides the GT Radial brand, Giti Tire (USA) markets the Primewell and Dextero brands through national retailers, independent retailers and distributors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
