RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Get Spiffy Inc., an on-demand car care services company, is adding mobile tire installation to the range of services it offers to fleet customers in 20 metro markets across the U.S.

In the mobile car wash and detailing business since 2014, Get Spiffy branched into maintenance services is 2017 with oil changes, but is looking to grow.

"After talking to both individual and fleet customers, the top request was for mobile tire services, including purchasing and installation," Spiffy CEO Scot said.

"Today we're servicing over 1,000 vehicles per day," he said, referring to the existing business model, "and, by our estimates, 5% to 10% of those vehicles have tires with low treads. That's a significant safety issue that we can help solve."

The new Spiffy Tires service offers mobile and fixed-site tire installation for fleets and features a number of brands, including Michelin, Continental and BF Goodrich, the Research Triangle Park-based company said. Tire installations are completed by full-time W2 technicians with over 100 hours of professional training."

Beyond offering Spiffy Tires to fleets, we're excited by the opportunity to provide additional car care services to our customers in office parks and residences. We look forward to introducing individual tire sales and installation, starting with a pilot program in Raleigh-Durham," Mr. Wingo added.

Among the services Get Spiffy offers (and the expected times to complete those services) are: basic car wash (20-40 minutes); Spiffy car wash (30-60 minutes); Spiffy & Shine (45-90 minutes); basic detailing (2 to 4 hours); "Totally Awesome" detailing (3 to 5 hours); mobile oil change (45-90 minutes); and mobile tire change (1 to 3 hours).

Spiffy mobile services for fleets in Chicago; Denver; Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, Fla.; Las Vegas; Newark, N.J.; New York; Philadelphia; Phoenix; San Francisco; Seattle; and Washington, D.C. It also offers its services for individual customers in Atlanta; Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Dallas-Fort Worth; and Los Angeles.

Get Spiffy is marketing the service as eco-friendly, in that it has formed a partnership with PRTI Inc., a Franklinton, N.C.-based company that "demanufactures" waste tires into carbon char, steel, oil, etc. using a patented "thermal depolymerization" process.

"We're eager to be a green partner with Spiffy as they roll out their tire services across the country," PRTI President and CEO Jason Williams said.

"Properly demanufacturing tires not only generates a variety of valuable commodities but addresses the demand to offload waste across the tire manufacturing industry. Working directly with Spiffy gives us a local partner to confront the world's waste tire problem," he added.

"Part of our DNA at Spiffy is to not only innovate around the customer experience of car care but the sustainability of our services as well," Mr. Wingo said.

"It began with reclaiming water from car washes and expanded to recycling 100% of the used oil from oil changes. Now, we believe partnering with PRTI provides the first eco-friendly solution to the tire industry. Marry that with a more convenient service experience and customers can enjoy the best of both worlds," he added.
