PORTLAND, Ore. — Reinalt Thomas Corp. has renewed a Discount Tire-branded sponsorship deal with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer (MLS) and extended a multi-year expansion with Continental Tire the Americas.
While Continental is the official tire of MLS, Discount Tire/America's Tire in April became the official tire retailer for the 2024-26 seasons.
Discount Tire branding and tire safety tips will be integrated into the Timbers' in-stadium signage at Providence Park home matches, and collaborations between the Timbers and Discount Tire on digital and social platforms.
Discount Tire has served neighborhoods in the Portland area for 33 years and operates 13 stores throughout Oregon.
"Our experts have helped keep Portland drivers safe on the roads since 1991," Tom Williams, chief experience officer at Discount Tire, said.
"As we continue to expand in Portland and deliver fans in the Pacific Northwest an easy and inviting way to buy tires, we're excited to do so in support of and in partnership with the Timbers."
The multi-year partnership with MLS includes Discount Tire's being named as the official tire retailer of the MLS, the MLS All-Star Game presented by Target and the MLS Cup presented by Audi. T
he partnership also means that Discount Tire will integrate into MLS broadcasts and advertise on MLS Season Pass and FOX, be featured in-stadium promotions, offer customer sweepstakes and put on marketing and community outreach programs locally at many of Discount Tire's 1,200 retail stores across 39 states.
Along with Portland, Discount Tire also has a partnership with Inter Miami CF, and said in April it was pursuing additional sponsorships with the Seattle Sounders FC, FC Cincinnati, Nashville SC and Chicago Fire FC.
